Role Overview:

As the Technical Service Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Automotive and Industry business in Japan. You will lead a team of professionals, drive innovation, and foster collaboration to deliver exceptional technical support and solutions to our customers. Your ability to connect with our global network, identify industry trends, and implement best practices will be instrumental in propelling our business forward.

 

Responsibilities:

1.Team Leadership:

Lead and mentor a team of 6 professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Provide ongoing guidance and support to ensure the success and professional growth of team members.

2. Project Coordination:

Coordinate projects, set priorities, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and exceed customer expectations. Drive the adoption of "Best Demonstrated Practices" to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness.

3. Technical Expertise:

Utilize your technical expertise to develop and implement innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.Lead by example in driving technical excellence and continuous improvement within the organization.

4. Technology Leadership:

Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, identifying opportunities to enhance our technology leadership and competitive advantage.

Implement new standards and best practices to continuously improve our service offerings and stay ahead of the curve.

5. Customer Engagement:

Actively engage with customers in various sectors, including Transportation, E-mobility, Home Appliance, and Automotive Repair, to understand their needs and challenges. Propose technical solutions and address project challenges to ensure customer success and satisfaction.

6. Training and Support:

Provide comprehensive training and support to sales teams and customers in specified sectors, empowering them with the knowledge and tools to succeed. Propose plans for project achievement and provide effective problem-solving support to overcome technical challenges.

7. Market Trends and Reporting:

Stay informed about market trends and new technologies through associations and institutes, translating insights into actionable strategies. Collaborate with relevant teams to create technical materials and reports to support informed decision-making and drive business growth.

テクニカルサービス インダストリー&オートモーティブのマーケットフィールドエンジニアとして、主な責任はプロジェクトの調整と内外のパートナーとの緊密な連携です。この役割には知識の転送、新技術の実装、および各種アプリケーション(接着技術、車両製造、モジュラービルディング、積層、電動車、および家電)へのセールスサポートが含まれます。プロジェクトの初期要求および顧客アセスメントから、解決策の特定、テスト、文書作成、および成功したプロセスの実装まで、様々な段階でサポートを行います。

主な責務:

  1. プロジェクトの調整とマネージメント:
    • プロジェクトの調整、進捗のコントロール、定期的な報告を実施。
    • プロジェクトマネジメントと顧客との積極的な連携を行います。
    • プロジェクト達成および問題解決のために適切なテストを提案および実施。
  2. テクニカルサポートとイノベーション:
    • 顧客要求を満たすための具体的で革新的なソリューションを提供します。
    • Sikaグループ内で「ベストデモンストレーテッドプラクティス」ソリューションの確立および普及を行います。
    • トレンドの特定および新しい標準の実装を通じて技術リーダーシップを拡大することを目指します。
  3. 顧客との対話とトレーニング:
    • 顧客訪問を通じて技術的なソリューションを提案し、プロジェクト要件を収集します。
    • 新製品および新アプリケーションに関するトレーニングをセールスチームおよび顧客に提供します。
    • 顧客ニーズに応じたPCP、TTP、およびPMPの計画を提案します。
  4. 文書作成と報告:
    • アプリケーション試験およびフィールドテストの手配と報告を行います。
    • クレーム/苦情の場合にセールス部門をサポートします。
    • 関連するチームメンバーと協力して技術資料を作成します。
  5. 市場動向とテクノロジー:
    • 協会や研究所からの市場動向や新技術の入手。

Your expertise - Our strength

  • Degree in engineering, chemistry, material science, civil engineering, architect, or similar
  • Experience of technical proposal role to customers as TS, sales, or R&D
  • Fluent in Japanese and Business level of English. 
  • Motivated, hands-on, and confident in customer interactions
  • Ability to translate technical arguments and values into simple Unique Selling Propositions (USPs).
  • Team player with excellent communication skills within a matrix organization (TS, Sales, R&D, Marketing, Region/Corporate).
