The Assistant Technical Manager is responsible for the administrative support for the region regarding administrative assistance of the customer service and the technical department.  This position reports to the Region Manager, New England.

 

The responsibilities include:

  • Answer telephone calls and provide technical sales information to contractors, architects, engineers, consultants and owners
  • Set-up and maintain project specific files, and locate information from files as needed
  • Handle general and technical correspondence relating to specific projects
  • Job site visits and field investigations as necessary
  • Process customer orders into the ordering system SAP in a timely manner
  • Maintenance and data entry of sales and distribution module of SAP as well as processing 3rd party purchase

Monitor SAP generated backorder lists, open billing lists

Your expertise - Our strength

  • Associates Degree
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Some knowledge of roofing or construction experience is desired
  • Professional Aptitude with good problem solving, analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer literate (Windows Applications: Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Lotus Notes email); SAP and database knowledge strongly desired
