Sika Sarnafil manufactures high quality, single ply roofing and waterproofing membranes.  With over 40 years’ experience, Sika Sarnafil’s roofing and waterproofing systems are recognized for their ability to withstand the test of time.  Our solutions are successful, and we service our customers by providing beneficial support in the form of comprehensive design review and technical advice during construction. The District Sales Manager is responsible for management of sales territories included in the States of Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Wyoming, and New Mexico. This includes overseeing and managing the activities of all direct sales individuals as well as all independent agents currently representing Sarnafil in those territories.  This position is also responsible to support the technical sales at the regional level to customers (contractors, consultants, architects, building owners) to achieve pre-determined sales and profit objectives.  The candidate needs to have excellent communication, organizational and writing skills, knowledge about the roofing industry and needs to be able to travel. This position reports to the Region Manager, Mountain.

Specific Responsibilities: 

  • Position Sarnafil as a company that provides quality products and service
  • Communicate and supervise within the District, Regional sales strategies, goals, objectives and plans to meet District budgets, discount pricing and gross margin objectives
  • Maintain manufacturer representatives to accomplish District sales goals and objectives
  • Participate and support Region Manager in District  sales employee review process
  • Assist both manufacturer representatives and direct sales with project pricing, seminars, specification writing and owner presentations
  • Establish relationships with key owners, specifiers and contractors with in the District
  • Maintain and review weekly sales activity and monthly reports from all sales personnel within the District
  • Provide monthly reporting to the Region Manager
  • Provide yearly business plan for growth to Region Manager

Your expertise - Our strength

  • Bachelor Degree or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 5 years of work experience with single-ply roofing application
  • Previous management experience highly desirable
  • Sales experience within roofing industry or building industry 
  • Technical knowledge of single-ply roof membrane installation, ideally Sarnafil
  • Computer proficient 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Outstanding presentation abilities
  •  Ability to coach, manage and mentor employees
