- Conducting regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and near misses.
- Ensuring all personnel have the required safety training and equipment.
- Investigating accidents and incidents and providing recommendations for prevention.
- Support, coach, and mentor functional and operational line management and key stakeholders to successfully implement HSE requirements into their day-to-day activities.
- Writing and maintaining the documentation and implementation of quality procedures and records
- Incident and injury management, including coordinating medical appointments and attending as required.
- Drive continuous improvement in and quality and safety.
- Maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality about Company information.
- Ensure adherence to all of Sika Australia’s Safety Policies and Procedures
- Ensure the integrated Sika Management System (SMS) complies with the requirements of ISO-14001, ISO-9001 and ISO-45001 and other relevant legislations and standards.
- Maintain electronic safety records such as; Hazard Reporting, Incident Reports, Claims, Risk Assessments, Audit Compliance, Health monitoring and medical information.
- Assist the National HSE Manager as required with any relevant duties
Your expertise - Our strength
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within the Australian market and a formal qualification of Cert IV in Health and Safety.
- Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of all relevant ISO Standards, Codes of Practice, and Statutory and Legal Requirements.
- Proven experience in planning, executing, conducting, and closing out audits.
- Applied knowledge of QHSE Management Systems and quality tools.
- Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise, plan, and execute improvement projects.
- Resilience and strong communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proficiency in Office 365 software.
- Current driver's license.
