Purpose of the Role

A member of Sika’s dedicated Account Team supporting our key national account across a specific geographical area to achieve joint strategic goals. With a strong focus on value added products you will work closely with local customer teams to drive sales and profitability for both partners through specification and contractor sales. Identifying opportunities for new products and systems is essential to keep us ahead in the market, as is providing support and training across all aspects of the business.

The Opportunity:  

  • To promote the full range of admixture products to the customer and ensure that targets for revenue and gross margin are met.
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of value- added concrete opportunities jointly with the account which delivers sales growth and revenue to both Sika and the account
  • Assist with new product development and support the Product / R&D team in creating and testing innovative solutions
  • To implement an effective local strategy for the territory from the overall National Strategy
  • Support the account teams by identifying and organising concrete trials to ensure winning proposals for admixture solutions on major projects.
  • Identify knowledge gaps and deliver suitable training to sales/technical and operational customer teams
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key personnel across the account.
  • Conduct or attend a variety of sales-related activities such as CPDs, tradeshows, and those associated with other industry bodies to progress sales including becoming a member of a trade body.

You will work within the account Team and alongside the wider Concrete team across the defined area.  This is a diverse group with a range of experience and a commitment to improving customer and technical support. You will be provided with a detailed induction plan, receiving one-to-one training, and then be given the opportunity to increase autonomy in line with self-development.  We are committed to professional and personal development.

The Future: 

The position of Account Manager is a full-time permanent position. Further progression within Target Market Concrete and the other business units within Sika UK may be possible on multiple levels.

Your expertise - Our strength

  • 3 years experience working within a concrete, cement or chemical admixture industry
  • IT literate(MS Office)
  • Full driving licence is essential
