Our dedicated team are responsible for targeted growth within the residential construction market, whether it be single or multiple family homes and we operate in both new build and retrofit market’s.  We engage with all stakeholders from specification through to application of our materials and as we move more towards a total opportunity model rather than a technology lead, we want to bring in Residential Construction specialists into our team.

Purpose of the Role

Highlighted as an area of importance for Sika, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to enter a business where they can make a real contribution to the long-term success of the Residential Construction business. Engaging with multiple stakeholders across the industry this role will build Sika’s technical authority in the marketplace.

Your expertise - Our strength

  • Science, Engineering or Construction based degree (subject to experience)                                         
  • Membership of or strong network within relevant residential construction associations.
  • Clear understanding of residential construction legislation related to Construction Materials
  • Understanding of the differences / requirements of single family and multifamily occupancy.
  • Understanding of the different requirements of traditional housebuilding vs timber frame vs panelised including Modular Building and Passivhaus with a view to creating competitive edge
  • Understand the housing stock retrofit market including legislation such as PAS 2035.
  • Understand the social housing strategy and be able to create a narrative on how Sika can support.

The Support:

You will work closely with the Business Unit Manager, Residential Construction, the Head of Sales for our Building Finishing team as well as a strong technical team.  With seven construction chemical specialist areas, you will support and draw support from a wide range of professional and helpful colleagues from right across the business.

The Skills:

The successful candidate will be central to the strategy creation to grow our Residential Construction business.  We require a strong base of residential construction knowledge combined with a structured approach to risk management.  This team member will drive our sustainability approach to ensure we are seen as the market leader for energy efficiency.
