Distributor and Point-of-Sale (POS) Management:

  • Conduct market visits to ensure the activities are implemented at POS as planned.
  • Provide market feedback/trade visit report and follow through to ensure outstanding actions/gaps are closed timely.
  • Coach distributor sales representatives on their personal performance and contribution in relation to the targets set.

Account Management:

  • Ensure ambitious target setting to distributor accounts and monitor closely for performance.
  • Prepare plans with focus on results vs. targets set.
  • Identify and implement actions for closing possible results gaps.
  • Monitor, evaluate and track weekly and monthly secondary sales data of a specific geography.
  • Cascade of all business-related information in a timely manner.
  • Manage inventory levels at Distributor’s warehouse and ensure there are no product stockouts.

Your expertise - Our strength

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Preferably 1 to 2 years’ experience in General Trade / Distributor Trade Sales in retail environment.
  • Experience in managing distributor sales representatives will be a plus.
  • Willingness to do field work.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • The desire to grow and develop with a company on a long-term.
  • Comprehensive and advanced knowledge of MS Office.
  • The work location will be based in Johor (south) or Perak (north)

During your 18 months traineeship, you’ll learn how to identify and apply important strategies and business processes. You’ll get to learn about our company’s functions and operations, and you’ll support our management team with daily tasks. Throughout, you will develop strong problem-solving, communication and people management skills. Additionally, you will participate in formal training courses.

This trainee program is designed to fast-track the development of high-potential young individuals and prepare them for future leadership positions within the Sika organization. Development components shall include: rotational assignments including cross country projects/training/seminars; mentorship to help navigate daily challenges; formal training sessions/ workshops/seminars to develop essential skills such as leadership, communication, problem-solving, and project management; Job rotation & project deployment to gain hands-on experience and apply the skills and knowledge in a practical setting; networking to expand professional connections; and opportunity to work and be coached by Sika Senior Managers.
